Recommended Routes

From Toronto, Mississauga & the West:
Take Hwy 400 north to Hwy 11 to the second Orillia exit, Hwy 12 South. Follow Hwy 12 to the turn-off for RR 44 (Rama Rd.) to RR 45.

From Toronto & the Oshawa area:
Take Hwy 35 north via Lindsay to the RR 121 junction just south of Fenelon Falls. Follow RR 121 north to RR 45/County Rd 503 at Kinmount.

From the Kingston area:
Take the route along Hwy 401 West to Hwy 62 at Belleville. Take Hwy 62 North via Madoc to Bancroft, then Hwy 28 west to Paudash. Take Hwy 118 west to County Rd. 503 at Tory Hill.

From the Ottawa area:
Take Hwy 17 to Hwy 60 West. Take Hwy 60 to Renfrew take Hwys 132 and 41 to Hwy 28 at Denbigh. Take Hwy 28 West through Bancroft to Paudash. Take Hwy 118 west (formerly Hwy 121) to Hwy 503 at Tory Hill.

From the North:
Take Hwy 60 just north of Huntsville to Hwy. 35. Follow 121 south to Kinmount. Follow the signs to Bark Lake Leadership Centre.

Getting through Orillia
Use the second Orillia exit, Hwy 12 South. It is 1.6 km past the Memorial Drive exit. Drive 4.5 km east, past the hotel and over the bridge, to a "T" junction. Take the ramp to the right. 1.5 km later, you will cross a bridge over the narrows between Lake Simcoe and Lake Couchiching. About 200 meters from end of the bridge turn left onto Rama Road (RR 44). Drive north 2.8 km and turn right by the Shell Station opposite the Fern Resort Sign. This road (RR 45, Monck Road) crosses Hwy 169 and carries on towards Sebright and Kinmount.

Getting through Kinmount
Kinmount is a small town with its main shopping area along Hwy 121. The Burnt River runs through the middle of town and the bridge crossing this river is the key to getting the correct road to Bark Lake. RR 45/Hwy 503 east is the road immediately south of the bridge. There are two roads to choose from so be sure to take the road closest to the end of the bridge. Drive 20 km along RR 45/County Rd. 503 before turning left through the Bark Lake gates. It is then 6 km along a paved road to the parking lot.
